Cedar Rapids Council Meeting Information
|
Hello everyone,
I am excited to have AMP this week!! We will be meeting at the Human Services Campus in Cedar Rapids. The address is 317 7th Ave SE Cedar Rapids IA 52401. We will be having Advocates from the Iowa Aftercare Services Network to come share with the youth the great program that can help youth when they age out of the system! These advocates can answer all the questions you might have about aging out!
Junior League will be providing dinner for the youth. We will be social distancing at this meeting. Masks are not required but STONGLY encouraged. I will have extras available for youth. Temperatures will be taken prior to coming into the building, so if you are planning on dropping off a youth, please make sure that you see them go into the building before you leave.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

AMP is a state-wide network of youth councils made up of youth aged 13-23 who support and advocate for themselves and other youth who have ever been in an out-of-home placement (foster, kinship, adoptive, shelter, residential, detention).
AMP meetings are a time for youth to gain valuable life skills for healthy transitions into adulthood, learn about local resources, and socialize while in a supportive environment of youth with similar experiences
