What is AMP?

AMP is a youth-driven, statewide group of youth aged 13-21 that seeks to unleash the full potential for personal growth among foster and adoptive children in Iowa. AMP offers leadership opportunities, service learning projects, speaking opportunities, support and educational/vocational assistance. AMP meetings are a time to gain valuable life skills youth need to become self–sufficient, independent adults and to learn about local resources and socialize while in a supportive environment of youth with similar experiences.

AMP is available for youth who have ever been in an out-of-home placement (foster, kinship, adoptive, shelter, residential, detention). Check us out on the website
