My mother is the one,
Who gave birth.
My mom’s the one,
Who cares for me;
Who forgives;
Who loves unconditionally;
Who likes to make me happy;
One who enjoys my life.
Sure, my mother does too.
Yet, the thing is that
My mother has many issues.
One’s gone on for years.
My mom, I may not call mom,
But I respect her like one.
I know she loves;
I know she empathizes;
I know she’ll always be there.
My mother may not be,
But at the same time,
I know I can always have room
For both of to be in my life and heart.
